My Favourite Place At School

Out of all the places in school my absolute favourite place is the Thinking Garden because it is tranquil and exquisite. When I walk into the Thinking Garden I feel nonchalant.The Thinking Garden is very luscious with a variety of spectacular plants and vegetables for everybody to enjoy. You can also sit and watch the world go by while you take in the aroma of the growing foliage.

Mana Performance

Kia Ora Bloggers,
Today our school had a special guest. His name was Bernard Mangakahia. He is a Polynesian performer and goes around the world to teach people about fantastic traditional dances and traditional things. Today he told us about the Polynesian Triangle. If you don't know what the Polynesian Triangle is it's a triangle that connects New Zealand to Hawaii and Hawaii to Easter Island and Easter Island back to New Zealand and all the countries and the islands in between the triangle are called the Polynesians. When he came he did a cultural dance from the American Indians and it was the hoop dance. He made shapes like eagles,butterflies,horses and flowers. Here is a photo of him.

Toolkits

I went to something exciting last week called Toolkits. Toolkits is a event that happens every year and when you go there you can win incredible prizes like headphones,waterproof cameras and bluetooth speakers.When we went there we learnt about things you can do with your chromebook like makey makey and flipgrid. If you don't know what flipgrid and makey makey is then I will tell you. Flipgrid is a site that you can put your ideas in and take videos and pictures to show your ideas and makey makey is a mother board that have wires and connectors to make things like banana pianos and how it works is that you get a wire and connect it to the mother board and then connect the wire to the banana and if you hold the earth pad and tap the banana it will make something move or make a noise.

How I Became Class Councillor

Last term I became a Class Councillor because of my speech I tried my hardest to become a Class Councillor because I wanted to be one desperately.I said to my class that I will help the school with the other Class Councillor's.I loved being Class Councillor and I treasure being a Class Councillor.The thing I found challenging was making my speech sound really formal and good.But everything else went right because my family helped me.

Today I have chosen a country to talk about.The Country I have chosen is Japan because I want to visit it.2 reasons why I want to visit is is because their zoo has polar bears and penguins and in New Zealand they don't have polar bears at the New Zealand Zoo and Japan sound interesting. Here are 3 interesting facts about Japan first fact is Japan has 127.1 million people who live in there country second fact is there is only one specific language spoken there and that is Japanese third fact is there are 16 national holidays in Japan. Thats all I have for today thank you.

Today I have been doing my vocab task.I learnt new words like divorce and consuming.The word I liked the most was consuming.Consuming means to take something or eat something.For example I consumed a lot of food.Here is my work with all the words I learnt.

Today we have been learning in cybersmart what to do in cybersmart situations.We all shared what we would do when someone asks for your password.This is what I said.

Today we were learning how to add places on maps and learning how to locate the place and we did.Also we did how many people are in ako hiko and all the schools.

Collaborating On Google Apps

Today our ako hiko cybersmart teacher came to our class.He told us about smart relationships on google docs.When we are sharing on google docs we have to collaborate with our buddy.You can comment on their work and give them feed back.You have to work properly with your buddy.A tip for collaborating on a doc is you can have different colour text to show how much work your buddy has done and how much you have done.





















I learnt how to use the suggest tool to suggest an idea instead of going and deleting or changing someones idea and work without permission.I will use this when we work on a document with a buddy.

We made Our pest trackers to see how many pests there are in my school.We cur the bottom of the milk bottle and we put tin foil in the little hole and put a sponge on it and then we poured food coloring in an put paper inside the milk bottle and put crunchy and smooth peanut butter in the milk bottle cap so the pest can step in the food coloring and step on the paper and eat the peanut butter and we will know what pest it is.Thank you for reading.

This is my work for today is is my comic strip about a story called In a hundred years'time in a school journal that says 2007 on the front page.The thing I found changeling is try to take the snap shots it was hard because you have to put it in shape you have to make it straight and if you crop it there will be an extra empty box you can't remove.My next step is to use more words and use a little longer book.

This is my work and I have learnt that Australia will be exposed to extra ultra-violent sun rays because the ozone layer is breaking down and it is not good and I have learnt that you can control the ozone layer by stopping the pollution and it made my mind move fast and trained it to be a muscle and make it big like Einsteins and Galileo's brain.
